Digital Illustration

My digital illustration class includes a pattern design, spot + hero illustration projects, and a special collaborative picture books project.

 

For the pattern design project, students are assigned to design a unique pattern for the Spoonflower Design Challenge (weekly design competition). The theme of the project is determined by the Design Challenge with the appropriate deadline (4–5 weeks from the project introduction). 
 

For the spot + hero illustration project, Students design 10 spots and a hero illustration for one article. Based on an article, the hero illustration can be an editorial feature, an infographic, a map, or a combination of them.
